Ivor Novello Awards nominated composer Lorenzo Piggici creates evocative original music for Films, Commercials, Videogames and TV.
Italian-born, he was classically trained at the Music Academy of Florence where he devoted himself to the study of piano, clarinet, orchestration, and composition. Combining his natural talent for composition with his expertise in production, Lorenzo aims at creating a powerful liaison between the audio and the visual, featuring a wide range of music styles.
From orchestral scores, also performed by the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, to ambient and electronic, his compositions are characterized by their cinematic style and distinctive synchronization with the image.
Working with internationally leading advertising agencies he has composed original music and sound design for brands such as Nike, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Subaru, Alfa Romeo, Good Year, Verizon, Panasonic, Philips, contributing to create for each a powerful and long-lasting engagement with the audience.
In 2010 Lorenzo Piggici received the Ivor Novello Awards nomination for Best Original Video Game Score for Empire: Total War (SEGA). That same year Lorenzo was commissioned to score the official music of the World Boxing Championship (WBS).
His credits in motion picture include several documentaries, short and feature films, among which the highly acclaimed action movie Bv-01, finalist at the Hollywood International Film Festival and honored with the UNESCO Award.
His discography includes four albums published by Boosey & Hawkes, that have provided music for a wide range of projects broadcasted worldwide (e.g. 2008 Olympic Games, BBC, Discovery Channel, SKY).
Member of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors (BASCA) and the Performing Right Society for Music (PRS), Lorenzo Piggici is based in London, England.
